Coonamble is located in the North Western
Region region, New South Wales (NSW) in
Australia. It lies on
the Castlereagh Highway north-west of
Gilgandra. It is the regional hub
for wheat growing and sheep and wool. The quiet town has a charming main
street with huge old pubs, interesting murals,
amusing nickname caricatures and a number
of Art Deco buildings.
