Bugaldie is near the Warrumbungle National Park, which is a heritage-listed national park that is about 23,311 hectares in size and 550 kilometres from Sydney. The park is situated within the Pilliga Important Bird Area because it is the home of many woodland birds that are considered threatened. It can be accessed via Coonabaraban through the John Renshaw Parkway.
